Brain & Pedal Power Raises Pounds

Brain & Pedal Power Raises Pounds

What a fantastic Garden Re-leaf Day we had! Firstly, instead of doing the 50 mile charity cycle ride he originally set out to do, our Shop Manager Colin actually ended up cycling a whopping 100 miles, raising over £500 for Greenfingers! Well done Colin. And while Colin rested his weary legs, some members of the Poplars staff along with over 100 other quiz fanatics took part in our Garden Re-leaf Quiz & Curry Night. The evening started off with a delicious meal followed by a brilliant quiz and a raffle, which alone raised over £400. Congratulations & well done to the Luton Daffy Dills who were our quiz winners. The wooden spoons went to the very cleverly named ‘It’s My Personal Favourites’ who excelled in getting the lowest marks on most of the rounds (bless them!) They didn’t care though, they were very proud to have ‘won’ their spoons!
It was an absolutely amazing night, topped off with the fact that the whole night raised £1650 for Greenfingers a charity who create gardens for children who spend time in hospices around the UK. A huge thanks to everyone who got involved.
