FREE Hearing Health Check

FREE Hearing Health Check

FREE Hearing Health Check Saturday 23rd March

The Rotary Club, in association with The Hearing Care Partnership will be in the Learning zone on Saturday 23rd March from 10am-4pm where you can come and have your hearing tested for FREE by an experienced audiologist. The audiologists will ask you a few questions & give you a full ear health check which will include an examination of your ear itself. Your hearing will then be tested and you will be given your results straight away.

Right from when we are children, we all have regular dental check-ups and arrange eye tests when we notice a change in our sight but our hearing can often get overlooked. The mission of the HCP is to help everyone live their lives to the full. Key indicators of hearing loss can be turning the TV or radio right up, to the point where others complain it’s too loud; asking people to repeat themselves; relying on watching the person who is speaking, especially their lips and facial expressions; choosing to avoid noisy environments as high levels of background noise can make it difficult to hear what people are saying. If you or someone you know can relate to one or more of these signs then it could be linked to hearing loss. The hearing health checks are open to anyone over 18 and will be carried out in a relaxed and friendly area within our Learning Zone. The test should only take between 5/10 minutes so it will be really easy to fit it in between shopping for plants and a bite to eat in the restaurant!
