On April 16th, our restaurant held a vegan tasting session where a focus group of approximately 18 vegan volunteers came along to taste a selection of dishes, created by our catering team.
The session went very well and was extremely positive. We sampled 9 dishes and had some vegan cake to end the session. We will now focus on implementing the feedback received to create a range of dishes we feel will fit within our service style and customer profile and then launch these in May 2019. The range will include a daily hot meal (served 12.00 til 2.30pm daily) from a range of stirfry, curries and pies. There will also be a homemade vegan cake available such as a Victoria sponge or lemon cake. These new items will complement our existing range of foods suitable for vegans such as vegan traybakes, a range of jacket potatoes and salad bar resulting in an excellent range of options for vegans. We will of course continue to develop and improve this moving forward with input from our customers.
