As a member of the Garden Centre Association, we must undergo an annual inspection to ensure the highest retail standards are met, maintained and improved. Between March & June every year, independent experts from the industry visits all GCA garden centre members. The inspector’s visits are completely unannounced so they really get to see the centre through a customer’s eyes. These inspections not only assess the quality of the centre’s infrastructure, but also the facilities offered, product ranges, plant quality and the levels of service and expertise. We had our inspection back in April and we are delighted to share the results with you. We continue to be a ‘GCA Approved’ Centre and we also received a ‘Highly Commended’ award for an outstanding score in our inspection. We received over 13 ‘Awards of Merit’. These included awards for our telephone service and website, customer service, toilets & disabled facilities, checkout area, bedding & seasonal plants, outdoor living & catering. Well done to everyone at Poplars for such fantastic results.
