Facilities & Services
Due to the current Coronavirus pandemic, some of our facilities & services below may have changed or ceased to conform to Government guidelines.
FREE Car Park
Our 300 space car park is free for our customers to use. There are wider spaces dedicated for parent & child parking and disabled spaces located near the entrance to the Garden Centre for our less mobile customers.
Wheelchair Use & Accessibility
We have wheelchairs available for our customers to use. These are available on a first come first served basis and therefore cannot be booked. To avoid disappointment, we suggest that where and possible, wheelchair owners should bring their own. Our Centre is wheelchair accessible throughout and we have a spacious disabled toilet facility located next to our restaurant. We also have special trolley attachments, designed to fit most standard wheelchairs.
We welcome dogs into the Garden Centre but stress that the owners are completely responsible for them whilst here. We cannot allow them into the restaurant but during the summer months, they are very welcome in the outdoor seating area.
No Carrier Bag Charge
We are very pleased to say that we DO NOT charge for carrier bags. Our carrier bags are bio-degradable so are kind to the environment.
Toilets & Baby Change
Our toilet facilities are located next to our restaurant. There is a spacious Baby Change facility, large enough for parents and small children. We have complimentary nappies, wipes and nappy bags available should you need them. Please ask at the Information Desk if you require any of these.
Children’s Outdoor Activity Area
Our brightly coloured outdoor children’s activity area is designed with pre-school age children in mind. It is the perfect place for mums, dads, nans & granddads to sit and relax whilst the little ones play in the giant sand pit, have a noughts & crosses battle or see who can score the highest in a game of bean bag toss. There is also a large chalk board for budding artists to practice their next masterpiece. Plenty of seating in the form of wooden picnic benches and tables and comfy Arondeck chairs is available and there are also cushions & picnic blankets available for customers to use. And because of our wonderfully unpredictable British weather, we have bottles of sun cream available for sale should you get caught out! https://poplars.co.uk/little-poplars-outdoor-area/
The Learning Zone can be found in our Leisure Building. It is a spacious, private area that is ideal for meetings, talks, demonstrations etc. Our location right next to the M1 Junction 12 and our close proximity to Luton Airport and the mainline trains from Brighton to Bedford, makes it an ideal central venue for national companies and local organisations and groups. There are two entrance points to the Learning Zone, one from the shop floor and one directly from the back of our car park. There is a cloakroom with plenty of hanging space for coats as well as toilet facilities including a large disabled toilet.
We have a large selection of rectangular and round tables available plus approx. 125 chairs. There is an interactive white board available as well as free Wifi access . Tea and coffee making facilities can be provided for a small additional charge. Catering packages are also available from the Restaurant@Poplars.
Poplars offers a local delivery service within 10 miles of Toddington or further by arrangement. There is a charge per delivery but once you have paid this you can put what you want onto the van (Subject to space and weight).
To ensure the safety of our drivers, all deliveries must be paid for prior to delivery.
We do not have a specific day for a set area; we try to be as flexible as possible and fit in with our customer needs
